SHANE SUGRUE
Shane is an architectural designer and researcher based in Dublin, Ireland. His work examines urban spatial governance and the potential of participatory design to democratise planning and development processes. He has worked extensively in the UK and Australia as an installation designer, acoustic engineer, event producer, and community arts facilitator, leading the creation of large-scale artworks at festivals including Vivid Sydney, Burning Man, and Dublin Fringe Festival. He studied architecture in Cambridge, Brisbane, and Dublin, and architectural acoustics and audio production in London. He has been a Visiting Academic and Design Tutor at the Universities of Queensland and Sheffield, and a guest critic at the University of Cambridge.
He is currently undertaking the RIAI graduate training scheme within the Office of Public Works as a cover while he investigates baseless conspiracy theories linking hippies, big tech, fire-based rituals and real estate futures.
